Since the Coronavirus started out in Wuhan, China, the virus has spread all over the world and many countries require people to wear masks. However, how do they dispose of the masks after using them? According to the latest reports from the Marine Conservation Organization Oceans Asia, at least 1.56 billion of these masks will be found in the ocean in 2020. Disposable masks are not degradable and if littered, it will take as long as four to five hundred years in order for them to degrade, thus this causes immeasurable harm to the environment.
Not only the ocean but a heap of them can also be found in landfills. The Malaysian government could learn from China where there are smart recycling boxes for discarded masks. These boxes help save the environment and also avoids the second spread of the virus. The UK also has their way of disposing of face masks by recycling them in over 150 Wilko stores across the UK. Taiwan, however, categorizes the face masks as general waste and is to be disposed of in regular garbage bins. What about Malaysia?

It’s important to throw away face masks in a garbage bin so that they won't falling out or blowing away
Protect the environment= protect the future, we should practice the 3R to save them environment
Hope this issue could reach to more people as well
It more safest to put the used mask in a sealed paper bag and then discard it
These people should relearn pendidikan moral!!
